Proposal: One-Year Pilot of an Extended October Half-Term

We are considering piloting a two-week October half-term holiday for the academic year, 2026-2027. If implemented, this would mean that pupils would be on half term from Monday 19th October 2026 to Friday 30th October 2026.

At this stage, no decision has been made. Before proceeding, we would like to gather feedback from parents and carers.

If supported, this change would be introduced as a one-year pilot, after which we would review its impact and consult again before deciding whether to adopt it longer term.
