World Book Day 2021
Thi year, our World Book Day had to be slightly different due to schools still being in lockdown. However, this did not stop pupils and staff from embracing their love of reading and celebrating World Book Day whether that be in school or remotely at home.
We were thrilled to see so many families make an effort with costumes despite the situation. We had some really creative and well thought out example of literary characters as you can see below:
Children were given plenty of activities to explore literature including creating a new cover for, or picture of, their favourite book, a challenge to create a potato head of their favourite character from a book and designing funky bookmarks!
Children were also set reading challenges as well as being asked to read snippets from their favourite books. In school, pupils did a World Book Day Quiz & a book scavenger hunt.
All in all, a very successful and exciting day! We are very much looking forward to next year's World Book Day where we hope to do even more, and this time, all together.
