Over the last 8 weeks I have had a pleasure of sharing yoga-based practices with children at Grestone Academy. We had a really good time practicing poses that can improve focus and concentration or may help children behave better towards peers and adults, or just simply can help them worry a little bit less.
In everything that we did we particularly cared about our breath that was our focal point. The children learnt how to stay calm and use their breath to control their emotions. They also learnt that yoga can be lots of fun especially when your body is in a funny shape!
I am sure they will tell you all about it and may even ask you to practice with them at home. It would be a great if some of things that the kids learnt could be included by teachers into everyday lessons.
